A bronze plaque. Benin City. 1897. The plaque depicts a man against a background with delicate floral engravings. The figure's right arm is broken at the elbow joint. He is wearing a helmet with a point, similar to a Pickelhaube. The plaque is damaged and cracked in some areas. There are two protruding motifs on the lower right hand and upper left hand corners.
